How You Can Help

Your choices are key to helping the preservation of sharks and other marine life. In addition to enjoying our wine, there are four simple things you can do:

• Choose sustainable seafood What’s sustainable seafood? It’s seafood that is harvested without the accidental killing (known as bycatch) of sharks, sea turtles, dolphins and other marine animals and birds. Several sustainable fishing companies include:

• Avoid all Shark Products. This includes products like shark fin soup, cartilage pills and shark souvenirs like jaws and teeth from living sharks.
• Support Conservation Groups. By supporting groups that work to protect our marine life, we are doing much more than any one of us could do alone.
• Support marine reserves. These areas are set aside for the protection of entire marine ecosystems. This helps to preserve breeding grounds for many sharks and commercial fish. See COMPASS for more information.
